    Summary of Job:
    This position is based out of our office at 15050 State Hwy 20, Madison, AL 35756.

    Supervises journeyman plumbers and helpers and the work performed in plumbing functions, including installs and repairs pipes, fittings and fixtures of heating, water, and drainage systems, according to specifications and plumbing codes, studies building plans and working drawings to determine work aids required, and sequence of installations. Provide input on plumbing plans being developed and then handle implementation and maintenance of these systems.

    Reporting to the Operations Foreman, the Welder is responsible for fabricating steel trusses according to specifications in a safe and efficient manner to meet internal and external customer needs.

    Duties/Responsibilities:
    - Promote and drive safety-first culture, ensuring the safety of employees, contractors, and visitors
    - Know and follow safety and emergency procedures as needed
    - Produce finished components by setting up and safely operating welding equipment
    - Determine required equipment and welding methods via established work procedures and apply proper welding techniques
    - Inspect welds ensuring structural integrity and quality
    - Complete all daily orders
    - Effectively coordinate with all department team members to ensure materials tracking compliance and efficient and steady production flow
    - Maintain clean work area and workstation prep throughout shift
    - Complete housekeeping and workstation prep tasks prior to end of shift
    - Assist with performing preventative maintenance on machinery as per training
    - Troubleshoot and/or notify immediate supervisor of machine breakdowns or issues
    - Maintain and/or update department visual tracking production schedule board
    - Assist in training new employees in the department
    - Provide support in meeting and/or exceeding department and plant goals such as safety, quality, scrap prevention and operational excellence
    - Perform other duties as assigned

    Requirements/Skills:
    - High school diploma or GED (preferred)
